Drainage and Stormwater

LNV’s engineers and Certified Floodplain Managers (CFM) provide our cities and counties, water and river authorities, and other governmental entities with valuable drainage and stormwater services that offer solutions to issues occurring in the built-out environment that threaten the safety of people, property, structures, and the environment. Our engineers, scientists, and certified professionals provide stormwater management services, mapping and analysis, flood control, water rights and quality permits, and policy reviews for our communities by providing technical review and updates of our client’s current or failing drainage systems.


LNV’s environmental department provides a full range of environmental consulting services to public and private entities. Our specialties include environmental permitting, site assessments, environmental compliance, remediation, waste management, and environmental and safety training. Our diversified project experience involves extensive interaction with federal, state, and local regulatory authorities and LNV’s environmental department is up-to-date on all necessary State of Texas laws and regulations, including those of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Railroad Commission of Texas, and the Texas Department of Transportation.

Safety Training

Educating employees on the importance of safety awareness fosters full participation and helps prevent costly and catastrophic accidents. LNV’s OSHA-authorized instructors give thorough, easy to understand, multimedia presentations. Each session is offered in English and Spanish at a preferred location. LNV also provides environmental training for topics relating to stormwater pollution prevention plans (SW3P), spill control and countermeasure plans (SPCC), and site operating procedures. In addition, our safety training personnel also perform in-house training for our LNV family so that we are always up-to-date on all OSHA General Industry compliance.


LNV’s structural department is highly experienced and diversified in the analysis and design of various types of buildings and structures, especially those that are in high wind, hurricane-prone areas. These numerous types of structural projects include commercial and institutional type buildings, industrial plants, petrochemical refineries, marine facilities, naval facilities, and U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. It is through this diversification that allows the department to stay up-to-date with all necessary code requirements and for understanding the everyday challenges of protecting the public and enhancing life safety through our innovative designs.
