Civil Project Engineer

LNV is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for our Austin Texas office. Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the engineering field.
Applicant must be experienced with the preparation of plans and specifications for City infrastructure projects including, but not limited to, water, wastewater, streets and drainage. Applicant should have the ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret reports, blueprints, requests for proposals, and cost estimates.

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• Licensed to practice engineering in the state of Texas

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist a Project Manager in establishing a cost estimate and the associated calculations for a project.
• Develop the design concepts of projects with the time constraints established in the budget for the project.
• Establish the design specifications for the project while working with a Project Manager.
• Review all project documentation and technical specifications assigned to specific projects.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparing Change Orders, Pay Estimates, Status Reports, and Project Inspections.
• Review design drawings and recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Assist the Project Manager in answering questions and complaints from the clients.
• Attend various meetings with clients per Project Manager instructions.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager from time to time.
