Experience
Mr. Munoz has over 4 years of experience in
Structural, Geotechnical and Construction Materials
engineering. His structural experience includes the
design of commercial buildings, residential buildings,
water and wastewater structures, Industrial structures
for plants and refineries and related industries, marine
structures, and US Army Corps of Engineers projects.
These projects have been performed for various clients
including architects, the local port authority, various
local refineries and plants, South Texas Area
Municipalities and local naval facilities.
Mr. Munoz previously worked for a geotechnical
engineering firm in Corpus Christi, Texas where he
participated in various geotechnical and construction
materials projects. His geotechnical design experience
includes recommendations for shallow spread footing, mat
foundations, multi-story structures supported on drilled
pier foundations, and roadway pavement design for
numerous projects.
Mr. Munoz’s areas of concentration are wind and
earthquake engineering, structural analysis, and
mechanics. Mr. Munoz is also experienced in the use of
the latest computer software including 3-D modeling
software used for detailed structural analysis and
design of structures composed of steel, reinforced
concrete, reinforced masonry, and timber materials.
Mr. Munoz also has experience in structural field
inspections during the construction phase of projects.
Mr. Munoz is the recipient of the Student Engineer of
the Year award in 2005 presented by the Texas Society of
Professional Engineers.
Mr. Munoz served in the United States Marine Corp for
4 years on active duty and 4 years in the inactive ready
reserve.
Mr. Munoz is a member of the Texas A&M
University-Kingsville Alumni Association.
